Bowls can be of benefit in many ways in that it provides light exercise and mental engagement, and it's a great source of friendship and social activities, all of which is especially good for older people. For anybody who has lost a partner and found themselves on their own, bowls can add another chapter to their life.
.

You have a choice of 5 bowls clubs to choose from:

Danson Park Men’s Bowls Club
  Danson Park Ladies’ Bowls Club

These two clubs operate independently but combine in a number of mixed matches and social events

Kingfisher Bowls Club

All three of these clubs have the same options for bowling as described below

We have all the necessary equipment available. You will need a pair of flat soled shoes or trainers. If you have any questions please call either of the numbers shown in the table above.

We would like to introduce you to the game of bowls and the enjoyment that can be gained from it. No experience of any sort is necessary, we all had to start from scratch at some time!

We have a wide variety of options available to you if you join one of our clubs. For fun or practice there are low-key friendly roll-ups, which can be competitive if you so choose. Internal club competitions, in a variety of formats, provide a bit more of a test to all members. Over the course of the season (from late April to late September) there is a large number of friendly matches against other bowls clubs, both locally and further afield, these include some coach trips to coastal clubs. These may be men’s matches, ladies’ matches or mixed matches. For the more adventurous you can enter the Bexley Borough and Kent County Bowling Associations competitions, also in a variety of formats. The choice is yours.

There is also a social side to bowls with a variety of events including trips out, club nights, quiz nights and buffet and dinner & dance evenings.
